JCI Monaco was founded in 1963 and has a network of around 130 members. In almost half a century of existence, the organization has gained considerable recognition in the Principality of Monaco and aboard, upholding JCI values and helping enhance the role of young people in the community, as active citizens.
On a domestic level, JCI Monaco has helped launch a great number of projects that have helped underline its reputation towards the national institutions as an incubator of new ideas, in the domains of entrepreneurship, corporate social responsibility and leadership. In 2010, JCI Monaco decided to highlight its role as a vector for entrepreneurship with the 15th edition of its successful Best Business Plan competition. The National Board also decided to be pro-active in bringing together the international communities of Monaco and the local community with several events in English and active recruitment of non French speakers. This open-mindedness and desire to encourage young people to contribute to the economy has helped develop the credibility of JCI at all levels of the country.
At an international level, JCI Monaco has made a great contribution to the JCI movement with the organization of the 1968 and 1998 European conferences and the 2007 European President’s Meeting. The national organization has also won over 10 international awards since 2007, at both a European and Global level, in recognition of its projects.
JCI Monaco is a cosmopolitan and open national organization and looks forward to welcoming friends from all over Europe and all over the world at the 2013 European Conference, to celebrate its 50th anniversary!
